Wall E Region Locked

The Wall-E region A BluRay is unfortunately region coded. Pricing and coding information here.

Overall an entertaining movie with a somewhat subversive message - until the Hollywood style ending at least. I have to admit the Apple Leopard startup sound that Wall-E makes at one point in the film annoyed the hell out of me…but others, fanboy’s included I’m sure loved it.

Starring Fred Willard, Jeff Garlin, Sigourney Weaver, John Ratzenberger, and Kathy Najimy

What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off? After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, Wall-E discovers a new purpose in life when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. EVE comes to realize that Wall-E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet’s future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans. Meanwhile, WALL-E chases eve across the galaxy and sets into motion one of the most exciting and imaginative comedy adventures ever brought to the big screen. Joining WALL-E on his fantastic journey across a universe of never-before-imagined visions of the future is a hilarious cast of characters including a pet cockroach, and a heroic team of malfunctioning misfit robots. Batman - The Dark Knight Is Region Free

Batman - The Dark Knight Is Region Free

Given the previous Batman films from Christopher Nolan and the notoriety around Heath Ledger’s death, the Dark Knight doesn’t need much of an introduction.  It is region free for the US version - some prices for the region A unlocked version are here.  Overall I enjoyed it but thought that of recent films in the same genre, Iron Man was more satisfying with a better blend of action and humour.

MetaCritic scores it at 82 based on 39 professional critics reviews, here are the top ones:

Variety

Justin Chang
Enthralling…An ambitious, full-bodied crime epic of gratifying scope and moral
complexity, this is seriously brainy pop entertainment that satisfies every expectation raised by its hit predecessor and then some.

The Hollywood Reporter

Kirk Honeycutt

Bale again brilliantly personifies all the deep traumas and misgivings of
Batman’s alter ego, Bruce Wayne. A bit of Hamlet is in this Batman.

Time

Richard Corliss

Beyond dark. It’s as black — and teeming and toxic — as the mind of the
Joker. “Batman Begins,” the 2005 film that launched Nolan’s series, was
a mere five-finger exercise. This is the full symphony.

ReelViews

Christopher
Nolan has provided movie-goers with the best superhero movie to-date,
outclassing previous titles both mediocre and excellent, and giving
this franchise its “The Empire Strikes Back.”

Village Voice

The Dark Knight will give your adrenal glands their desired workout, but it
will occupy your mind, too, and even lead it down some dim alleyways
where most Hollywood movies fear to tread.
New York Daily News

Joe Neumaier

Twisted, tortured, terrifying - and terrific.
Chicago Sun-TimesRoger Ebert
“Batman” isn’t a comic book anymore. Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight is a
haunted film that leaps beyond its origins and becomes an engrossing
tragedy. It creates characters we come to care about. That’s because of
the performances, because of the direction, because of the writing, and
because of the superlative technical quality of the entire production.

Chicago TribuneMichael Phillips
Sensational, grandly sinister and not for the kids, The Dark Knight elevates pulp to a very high level.
EmpireMark Dinning
Ledger’s performance is monumental, but The Dark Knight lives up to it. Nolan
cements his position as Hollywood’s premier purveyor of blockbuster
smarts – and the Batbike is kinda cool, too.
